Vema Funeral Cover – Helping You in Tough Times
When you or someone in your family passes away, funeral costs can be stressful. Vema Funeral Cover helps you pay for the funeral so you don't have to worry about money during a difficult time.

What Is Funeral Cover?

Anyone can join – It's open to everyone.

It pays out money when:

  • You (the main member) pass away
  • Your husband or wife passes away
  • Your children (up to 5) pass away
  • Extended family members pass away

What You Need to Claim

To claim the money, you'll need:

  • A claim form
  • ID of the person who passed away
  • ID of the person claiming the money
  • Death certificate
  • Police report (only if the death was from an accident or unnatural cause)
  • Birth certificate (if a child passed away)

Waiting Periods (When Cover Starts)

  • Natural death – You're covered after 6 months
  • Accidental death – You're covered right after your first payment
  • Suicide – You're covered after 24 months

Who Can Be Covered?

  • You (main person who joins)
  • Your husband or wife
  • Up to 5 kids (biological or adopted)
  • Extended family (like parents, siblings, etc.)

Even if you're not South African, you can still join if you have:

  • A South African passport
  • A South African bank account
